Art (Sasithorn) completed a Diploma in Remedial Massage, has completed a Certificate 3 in Sports coaching and is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society. She has adapted her own techniques over the years employing Acupressure, Shiatsu, Tui na and now Dry needling.
She offers treatments including sports and deep tissue masssage, relaxation and pregnancy massage. Art has a great understanding of anatomy and movement which gives her a great ability to diagnose and isolate problem areas. While she has very strong hands and can work firmly, Art manages to release tension and problem areas without pain and discomfort.
Art is passionate about her work and enjoys working with all her clients, whether they are needing major injury rehabilitation, on going maintenance or looking for stress and tension relief.
She treats sports men and women for pre and post events, ITB pain, shin splints etc.
Art finds the combination of remedial massage and dry needling techniques are very effective with most clients achieving good results post treatment.
Dry Needling
In conjunction with Remedial massage, Art is excited to now provide Dry Needling treatments.
Dry needling works by relaxing muscle fibres, reducing pain and restoring normal function. It can be helpful in treating acute and chronic pain including: Tension headaches, pain, injuries and discomfort in the neck, shoulders, elbows, lower back, jaw, knee, ankles and heels.
Dry needling is also great for joint pain including Osteoarthritis in the hips, knees and elbows.
Head, Neck & Foot Massage Treatments
This includes roughly 15 minutes on the head and neck with 45 minutes concentrating on the feet. Working with the feet she works on reflex points that will offer relief of lower back tension and pain and working along meridians that have reflex action on the whole body.
The feet have 26 pressure points that help stimulate internal organs so your whole body gets a work out.
